CTYHOP Silent Disco transforms urban spaces into vibrant community hubs through innovative silent disco experiences. What began as a Detroit passion project has grown into a movement serving 20,000+ participants annually across multiple cities under the banner “We Dance With The City.”

Their core belief is simple

People make cities fun.

With growing demand and partnerships with institutions like the Detroit Lions and Pistons, CTYHOP’s ambition is to reach one million participants in five years. To get there, they needed a brand that reflected what they really are – cultural catalysts – rather than “just” urban entertainment or equipment rental.

Their old identity felt generic, inconsistent across touchpoints, and not yet ready for national expansion. We repositioned CTYHOP as a Modern Social Street Performer, rooted in the insight that they don’t perform for people – they create the conditions for people to perform. From there, we:

  • Defined a strategic duality: STREET (bold, structural, functional) and PERFORMER (expressive, rhythmic, tech-forward).

  • Built a visual and verbal system that can flex from grassroots activations to corporate presentations and city partnerships.

  • Created clearer tools and messaging so the team can communicate CTYHOP’s value consistently as they grow.

The resulting identity gives CTYHOP a distinctive position in experiential urban entertainment:

Grounded in authentic street culture, credible in professional settings, and ready to scale their belief that cities are at their best when everyday people are invited to come out and play.
